1. Cop-outs. People who have no goals and do not commit. 2. Holdouts. People who don't know if they can reach their goals, so they're afraid to commit. 3. Dropouts. As leaders we need to remember that. Strong convictions precede great actions. When we know something is right-- and that conviction is bolstered by the knowledge that our motives are pure...-- we need to follow through. Others may second-guess our thinking and our decision-making. But when we know what's right, we can't let those things throw us off. We need to stand by our convictions.

People who lack vision almost always lack passion. Incompetent leaders are ineffective and they often stay that way.

Before you get out of bed every morning, say 'do it now' fifty times. At the end of the day before you go to sleep, the last thing you should do is say 'do it now' fifty times.

To develop your integrity, make a commitment to yourself to be scrupulously honest. Don't shave the truth, don't tell white lies, and don't fudge numbers. Be truthful even when it hurts. To strengthen your discipline, do the right things every day regardless of how you feel.

Everybody on a championship team doesn't get publicity, but everyone can say he's a champion.
