Sooner or later we must leave our dream world and face up to the facts of God, sin, and judgment. The Bible says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" [Romans 3:23 NIV].

Nothing can alter the fact that God calls perversion sin.

The evangelistic harvest is always urgent. The destiny of men and of nations is always being decided. Every generation is crucial; every generation is strategic. But we cannot be held responsible for the past generation and we cannot bear full responsibility for the next one. However we do have our generation! God will hold us responsible at the judgment seat of Christ for how well we fulfilled our responsibilities and took advantage of our opportunities.

One of the saddest statements in the Bible is when Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven. . . . Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not . . . done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' " (Matthew 7:21—23).

The Bible teaches that angels intervene in the affairs of nations. God often uses them to execute judgment on nations. They guide, comfort, and provide for the people of God in the midst of suffering and persecution.

The world judges the Christian by his life, not by his belief.
