When we walk with the Lord, the dark is actually a place we can never fully be. The unknown is not so frightening when we realize that our all-knowing God is in it. We know Him. And once we experience His light in the midst of darkness, our darkness will never be the same.

No matter how far off the path you have gotten from the plans and purposes God has for you, when you surrender your life to the Lord and declare your utter dependence upon Him, He carves a path from where you are to where you are supposed to be, and He sets you on it.

When we find ourself in the dark, we must stop what we're doing, look for His light, and listen for His voice. If He is directing us, yet we ignore it, fail to see it, refuse to do it, run from it, don't comprehend it, or deliberately disobey it, we will be miserably lost. We have to be still and know that He is God. We have to reach out to Him and He will give us a sense that He is there.

We can find ourselves in the wrong place at the wrong time simply because we didn't do what God was telling us to do, or we neglected to ask Him what we were supposed to be doing before we made decisions. Or perhaps we asked Him, but we failed to wait for an answer before we went ahead and did what we wanted to do. So much grief can be avoided by living God's way.

Teach me to not only know Your truth, but to live in it. In

Lord, show me how to pray for this child. Help me to raise him Your way, and may Your will be done in his life.

Freedom, wholeness, and true success can only be found when you are living a praying life. That means walking so close to God that He can keep you away from danger and guide you where you need to go

Dear Lord, I trust You and accept Your answers to my prayers, even when the answer is not what I want. Help me to always understand Your will, especially when the answers to my prayers are not what I expected or thought they would be. I am grateful You know what is best for me and will not allow me to seek after things I shouldn't.

Help me, Holy Spirit of God, to pray according to Your will. Speak to me as I read Your Word so that I can grow in understanding. Enable me to pray in power and alignment with what pleases You. Thank You for the times I prayed for something and You didn't give it to me because it would not have been good. I can see that now, and I am grateful.

God, I thank You that even when I don't do everything right, You see in my heart the desire to do so, and You bless me with answers to my prayers. I am grateful You look past my imperfections and see the perfect qualities of Your Son, Jesus, stamped on my heart instead. Help me to live Your way so that my ways are pleasing in Your sight.

Until we have aligned ourselves properly with God, nothing in life will fall into place as it should.

Lord, help my children to make godly friends. I know that You brought us here and You will not leave my children forsaken. I'm concerned that in their need for acceptance they'll end up with friends whose moral standards are not as high as Yours. Bring godly role models into their lives.
