God can do what He says He can do precisely because He is who He says He is.

Prayer matters. It's not just words in the air. The Spirit of God released through our prayers and the prayers of others is enough to turn cowards into conquerors, chaos into calm, cries into comfort.

None of us possesses enough power or godliness to enact a miracle in someone else's life on our best day. "Faith expressing itself through love" is a miracle in itself.

All this time, I'd accepted the rampant sexism because I thought it was about Scripture. What I was watching in the wake of the report, however, did not appear to be a whit about Scripture, nor did it evidence fruit of the Holy Spirit, as far as I could discern. In my estimation, this thing playing out in front of the world was about power. This was about control. This was about the boys' club.

We miss one of life's most awesome experiences if we don't see God's Word stand up under our trial. He wants to show us it works. He wants to show us He works! If we stop believing, we will never know the power and faithfulness of God.

The enemy knows better than we do that nothing is bigger or more powerful than our God.
