Those who are in famine will always listen to those with food. The problem has been that we in the Body of Christ haven't looked as though we have any food. We've looked no different from the rest of the world. Christians have been taught that the power of God is no longer available today, and they have protested against sinners rather than loving them.

We will no longer make up excuses for powerlessness because powerlessness is inexcusable. Our mandate is simple: raise up a generation that can openly display the raw power of God. This book is all about that journey…the quest for the King and His Kingdom.

Too many times, the Church makes Christians feel guilty for keeping the Good News to themselves. Instead, we need to create a culture that overflows with God's extravagant love and power. When we experience His abundant goodness, we find it natural to invite others to partake.

But if you don't change the way you think, you'll never be able to apprehend the Kingdom power that is available.

He was saying that when our minds are renewed, we will see the Kingdom displayed and proven as He did in His earthly ministry. That's what it means to "see" the Kingdom of Heaven. Our souls long to see such things. We have inside of us an unrelenting hunger to watch the Kingdom break into this realm—and not just to watch but to participate, to become the connecting point and gateway for God's power.

As Christians, we must get rid of the notion that the only answer for life's troubles is for us to die and go to heaven. Don't be mistaken—heaven is real and is greater than we can possibly imagine. But the kind of attitude that says rescue from this earth is the only thing we live for is an insult to the power of the blood of Jesus and the purpose of redemption.
