A lot of people let the past dictate their future. Don't do that! Get past your past. We all have a past, but we all have a future. Our actions are a direct result of our thoughts. If we have a negative mind, we will have a negative life. If, on the other hand, we renew our mind according to God's Word, we will, as Romans 12:2 promises, prove out in our experience "the good and acceptable and perfect will of God" for our lives.

Every time a situation arises that could be stressful or would cause us to be anxious or worried, we have to renew our commitment to trust God instead.

If you want to be free of trying to figure everything out, you can develop the mind of the Spirit by constantly renewing your mind with the Word. Little by little, the Word will wash away the wrong thinking and replace it with truth . . . follow that truth instead of your own ability to reason things out and you'll have new life and peace.
