Before we can speak God's message, we must learn to listen. The opened ear comes before the opened mouth.

As Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and remain at the entrance, and the LORD would speak with Moses.

And the word of the LORD came to me, asking, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” “I see a branch of an almond tree,” I replied.

Let the man who would hear God speak read Holy Scripture.

since God's Word is living, he who listens and does not have a living response is he who has not actually heard the Word of God.

The design of God was, that his word should be always read and used in that language which was commonly understood by them unto whom he granted the privilege thereof; nor could any of the ends of his wisdom and goodness in that merciful grant be otherwise attained.

Is the Son of God praying in me, bringing honor to the Father, or am I dictating my demands to Him?

We often think of prayer as nothing more than words spoken to God, but maybe it's more than that. Prayer is not a monologue; it's a dialogue. We speak to God with everything from words to groans to thoughts. And God speaks to us through dreams, desires, promptings, impressions, and ideas.

God whispers in our pleasures, but shouts in our pain.

The Lord will always give us words to say, and show us when to say them if we ask Him. Timing is everything.
