The phrase "the body of Christ," expresses well what we are called to do: to represent in flesh what Christ is like, especially to those in need. The

Christian nonviolence must be embodied in a community that is an alternative to the world's violence.

Love somebody. Just one person. And then spread that to two. And as many as you can. You'll see the difference it makes.

The advantage of believing in the Trinity is not that we get an A from God for knowing the right answer. The advantage of believing in the Trinity is that we then live as if the Trinity is real, as if the cosmos around us is actually beyond all else a community of unspeakably magnificent personal beings of boundless love, knowledge and power.

God seeks us. The basic nature of God is one of loving community.

Two of man's basic needs are to love and to share. Both of these needs are satisfied in greater or lesser degree by friendship.

Under the image of the Trinity we discover that we do not know God by defining him but by being loved by him and loving in return.

We are most ourselves when we love; we are most the People of God when we love.
