The twentieth century saw the emergence of a Churchless Mission and a Missionless Church.

Jesus never says to the poor: 'come find the church', but he says to those of us in the church: 'go into the world and find the poor, hungry, homeless, imprisoned.

And the church does not exist for us. We are the church, and we exist for the world.

Jesus did not say that the whole world should go to church, but He did say that the church should go to the whole world.

Nations like the Cuban and the Swiss Can never hope to wage a Global Mission. No Holy Wars for them. The most the small Can ever give us is a nuisance brawl.

Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. GENESIS 1:28 Abide in me. JOHN 15:4 Go . . . [to] all nations. MATTHEW 28:19 Stay . . . and go. Jesus is our staying power in all our going. It is only a matter of time till the reality of the rest of the world comes home. And all the while we are called by Christ to go to them, love them, sacrifice for them, bring the gospel to them. The Great Commission is not child's play. It is costly. Very costly.

To belong to Jesus is to embrace the nations with Him.

I look upon the world as my parish.

Every single person on this planet is worth the trouble we might face in the context of sharing Christ with them.

Around the world the problem of Christian work is the problem of the Christian worker.

The passion of the church and every follower of Christ should be that all peoples have an opportunity to hear, understand, and respond to the gospel.
