I have learned to live each day as it comes, and not to borrow trouble by dreading tomorrow. It is the dark menace of the future that makes cowards of us.

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.

Worry is a waste of energy. It cant change the past. It cant control the future. It only makes today miserable

If we lose the present moment, we lose life.

No amount of regret changes the past. No amount of anxiety changes the future. Any amount of grateful joy changes the present.

There are two days in my calendar: This day and that Day.

Everything you're trying to reach—by taking the long way round—you could have right now, this moment. If you'd only stop thwarting your own attempts. If you'd only let go of the past, entrust the future to Providence, and guide the present toward reverence

I don't live in either my past or my future. I'm interested only in the present. If you can concentrate always on the present, you'll be a happy man.

STOP TRYING TO WORK THINGS OUT before their times have come. Accept the limitations of living one day at a time. When something comes to your attention, ask Me whether or not it is part of today's agenda. If it isn't, release it into My care and go on about today's duties. When you follow this practice, there will be a beautiful simplicity about your life: a time for everything, and everything in its time.

He to whom the present is the only thing that is present, knows nothing of the age in which he lives.

Our battle is today. Because of God's grace, yesterday doesn't count. Because of God's hope, worry about tomorrow is inappropriate.
