The beginning of compunction is the beginning of a new life.

They believe that a good intention already means a new beginning; they believe that on their own they can make a new start whenever they want. But that is an evil illusion: only God can make a new beginning with people whenever God pleases, but not people with God.

Together, let us make this a new beginning. Let us make a commitment to care for the needy, to teach our children the values and the virtues handed down to us by our families, to have the courage to defend those values and the willingness to sacrifice for them. The consummation of the marriage is, in a real and radical way, a new beginning—the creation of a new family that is a reflection of the original creation of all humanity, except this time we participate with God. Whether or not God blesses the union with children, the couple has created something new that has never been before or will be again. This participation in God's creative power is the foundation of human society.

Today is a brand new beginning for me!

Our full "Christ Option"—and it is indeed a free choice to jump on board—offers us so much that is both good and new—a God who is in total solidarity with all of us at every stage of the journey, and who will get us all to our destination together in love.

It's never too late for repentance. With God's help we can chart a new course and set our sails in the direction of obedience to God.

No matter who you are or what your life has been like so far, the rest of your life's journey can be different. With God's help you can begin again.
