Since Jesus went through everything you're going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you'll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want. 1 Peter 4:1—2, THE MESSAGE

Beware of harking back to what you once were when God wants you to be something you have never been.

God invites us to come as we are, not stay as we are.

Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be.

Change is about learning what is right, acknowledging that it is right, confessing that you have been wrong, committing to a new way of living, and seeking the help you need to do it. (66)

If you dont like something, change it. If you cant change it, change your attitude.

We must not just patch and tinker with life. We must keep renewing it. Embrace novelty and uniqueness.

You are never too old to become younger!

Change is hard, but change is good.

I had to be healed of my desire to be healed.

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.”

It's in that place that we're reminded that true life comes when we're willing to admit that we've reached the end of ourselves, we've given up, we've let go, we're willing to die to all of our desires to figure it out and be in control. We lose our life, only to find it.
