With respect to love we speak continually about perfection and the perfect person. With respect to love Christianity also speaks continually about perfection and the perfect person. Alas, but we men talk about finding the perfect person in order to love him. Christianity speaks about being the perfect person who limitlessly loves the person he sees.

he who loves God without faith reflects upon himself he who loves God believingly reflects upon God.

If you have never felt or known the sheer power and strength of God's love, take another look at Jesus dying on the cross.

If we had no hurt and no sin to speak of, we'd be angels, and angels can't love the way men and women do.

But if God love me, Celie, I don't have to do all that. Unless I want to. There's a lot of other things I can do that I speck God likes. Like what? I ast. Oh, she say. I can lay back and just admire stuff. Be happy. Have a good time.

Once us feel loved by God, us do the best us can to please him with what us like.

Nothing you can do will make God love you more.

First John 4:10 says, "This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

It pleases God when you know you are dearly loved. That's why the Scripture says, "Come boldly to the throne." Don't go to Him feeling unworthy.

Following Jesus is not about diligently keeping a set of rules or conjuring up the moral fortitude to lead good lives. It's about loving God and enjoying Him

We all long for someone to tell us who we are. The great struggle of the Christian life is to take God's name for us, to believe we are beloved and to believe that is enough.

At this time of Christmas, this season when gifts are given, let us not forget that God gave His Son, and His Son gave His life, that each of us might have the gift of eternal life.
