It is written in the Didache, "There are two ways, one of life and one of death, but a great difference between the two ways. The way of life, then, is this: first, you shall love God who made you; second, love your neighbor as yourself, and do not do to another what you would not want done to you.

Put together all the tenderest love you know of, multiply it by infinity, and you will begin to see glimpses of the love and grace of God.

Let us love one another as God loves each one of us. And where does this love begin? In our own home. How does it begin? By praying together.

God's love, and hence the love with which we come to love God, is eros and agape at once: a desire for the other that delights in the distance of otherness.

God's love causes the beauty of what He loves, our love is caused by the beauty of what we love.

God is love, but He also defines what love is. We don't have the license to define love according to our standards.

God is the utterly loving giver. God doesn't just love. God is love.

We lead our lives well when we love God with our whole being and when we love neighbors as we (properly) love ourselves.
