Trying to know God and serve Him before we come to love Him is exhausting.

To be free in Christ, our high places will have to fall. We must be willing to take a stand against idolatry.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Just keep telling God how much you want to give Him your whole heart and mind. The wayward, defeated mind and the willfully depraved mind are not the same thing. Left unchecked, however, the former can lead to the latter.

The most monumental leap we take toward freedom is the leap to our knees—the lordship of Jesus Christ.

We are free when, and only when, we allow Him to be in control.

All the nouns—the people, places, and things—I've believed were inseparable from who I was have been strategically targeted by God. Over the years, He has sought to supplant them with Christ alone. They weren't cast aside as worthless any more than the land was relegated to meaninglessness for the people of God. They had their role, but they simply weren't Jesus.

Bow down to him, for he is your lord. Psalm 45:11

Then there's the third way proffered by the Lord of Discipline, which is beyond both hierarchy and territory. That is to do the work and give it to Him. Do it as an offering to God.   Give the act to me. Purged of hope and ego

When we pray, we bring that power to bear upon everything we are praying about, and we allow the power of God to work through our powerlessness. When we pray, we are humbling ourselves before God and saying, "I need Your presence and Your power, Lord. I can't do this without You." When we don't pray, it's like saying we have no need of anything outside of ourselves.

When you get up every day, put on your protective armor. Don't leave your day to chance. Take possession of it and surrender it to the Lord. Don't let it get out of control and give the enemy an invitation to have input. You need this armor to stop any onslaught of the enemy's destructive arrows into your life and the lives of those you care about—both now and in the future.
