From the Greek apostolos meaning "one who is sent out." Apostles are visionary and pioneering, always pushing into new territory. They like to establish new churches, ministries, non-profits, Kingdom-minded businesses or initiatives.

I'm a visionary. I'm not a maintenance person.

As a result, the rewards for being first are enormous. It's not a linear scale. It's not a matter of getting a little more after giving a little more. It's a curve, and a steep one.

Towering genius disdains a beaten path... It sees no distinction in adding story to story... It scorns to tread in the footsteps of any predecessor, however illustrious. It thirsts and burns for distinction; and, if possible, it will have it...

And as I walked on I was lonely no longer. I was a guide, a pathfinder, an original settler.

You can be the first. You can be the one to set a new standard. Don't be moved by what you don't see, by who's against you. God being for you is more than the world being against you.
