Sincerity carries the soul in all simplicity to open its heart to God.

Only God is able to humble us without humiliating us and to exalt us without flattering us.

The physical voice we use in prayer need not be great nor startling; even should we not lift up any great cry or shout, God will yet hear us.

We must not be wise and prudent according to the flesh. Rather, we must be simple, humble and pure.

God will have a humble people. Either we can choose to be humble, or we can be compelled to be humble.
