What we have assumed about Heaven has reduced it to a place we look forward to only as an alternative to an intolerable existence here on the present Earth. Only the elderly, disabled, suffering, and persecuted might desire the Heaven we imagine. But the Bible portrays life in God's presence, in our resurrected bodies in a resurrected universe, as so exciting and compelling that even the youngest and healthiest of us should daydream about it.

So do not fear the struggle; rather, embrace it. Embrace it in the knowledge that the Grand Weaver will take all of your struggles, questions, disappointments, and fears and use them to build your faith and increasingly make you into a man or woman who looks like Jesus Christ.

No matter what you're going through there's no pit so deep that God can't reach in and get you out.

I can patiently wait for the things I want in life, trusting God to bring them in His timing.

Do whatever you can do, and refuse to sit and do nothing. Remember, do what you can do, and God will do what you cannot do.

He did not send the power of His Spirit into our lives so we could be weak-willed, wimpy, or the type of person who gives up when the going gets tough.

Faith does help us navigate difficulty while trusting God to deliver us at the right time.

Three things Jehoshaphat did were very important. First, he acknowledged he had no might to stand against his enemies. Second, he admitted he did not know what to do. And third, he said his eyes were on God. By saying these three things, Jehoshaphat put himself in position for a miracle.

Standing up on the inside doesn't mean being rebellious or having an angry attitude toward those who don't understand us. It means having a quiet, inner confidence that takes us through to the finish line. Confidence means knowing that despite what is happening outside, everything is going to be all right because God is with you, and when He is present nothing is impossible

I will never give up! God is on my side, He loves me, and He is helping me!

Power Thought: God uses my weaknesses to show His strength.

If you are determined to succeed in life, God's grace will enable you to do what may seem impossible to your natural thinking. God has promised to do His part, but you have an important part to play as well.
