If you truly understood the holiness of God, you would have a proper attitude about yourself.

Occasionally, some brother sings very earnestly through his nose, often disturbing those around him, but it does not matter how the voice sounds to the ears of man. What is important is how the heart sounds to the ears of God.

Doth any man live more to himself, or less to God, than the proud?

Someone who is determinedly trying to show God how good he or she is is likely to become an insufferable prig.

Most people don't feel conscious hostility to God. The hostility is manifest more subtly with a quiet insubordination and indifference.

Complaining is dangerous business. It can damage or even destroy your relationship with God, your relationships with other people, and even with your relationship with yourself.
