The chances you take… the people you meet… the people you love… the faith that you have — that's what's going to define your life.

Life means risk. People who sabotage themselves shouldn't worry about failure as much as they should be concerned about the chances they miss when they don't even try. Speech writer Charles Parnell observed, "Too many people are having what might be called 'near-life experiences.' They go through life bunting, so afraid of failure that they never try to win the big prizes, never knowing the thrill of hitting a home run or even taking a swing at one.

Necessity is the mother of taking chances.

The more we really believe the truths God calls us to believe, the more we will take chances with God.

Not taking risks ultimately leads to failure.

Know this for sure: When you get the chance, go for it.

It is playing safe that we create a world of utmost insecurity.

Sometimes you're gonna jump off a cliff and land flat on your face. Then you just get up and go again. But sometimes you dive off the cliff and start soaring with the eagles, and that's when you find new music, places that you've never been before.

We are not trying to entertain the critics. I'll take my chances with the public.
