Living to create an earthly legacy is a shortsighted goal. A wiser use of time is to build an eternal legacy. You weren't put on earth to be remembered. You were put here to prepare for eternity.

Unless we fix certain hours in the day for prayer, it easily slips from our memory.

I have so much to do that I spend several hours in prayer before I am able to do it.

Tomorrow I plan to work work from early until late. In fact I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.

If I am to speak ten minutes, I need a week for preparation; if fifteen minutes, three days; if half an hour, two days; if an hour, I am ready now.

Needs multiply as they are met. Woe to the man who would live a disentangled life. Be on guard, my soul, of complicating your environment so that you have neither time nor room for growth!

Time spent praying and planning gives you a master plan that works for your home and sets a pattern of order for your life.

I sit in the driver's seat concerning most of the structure of my every day, including growing in the Lord. I decide whether the things of the Lord are really that important to me…or not. I decide whether I will make the effort to grow…or not. I decide whether I will schedule in the time it takes to grow, to meet with God regularly, to stop, look, and listen to Him by reading my Bible…or not.

Every day ask your husband two questions: "What can I do for you today?" and "What can I do to help you make better use of your time today?

Stop doing things that waste time. Don't replace time with your family or things that you need to do. I needed to put together two fantasy teams this weekend because that's something I enjoy, but I did stop playing Nintendo Wii for hours on end.

By faithfully working eight hours a day you may eventually get to be boss and work twelve hours a day.

We accomplish all that we do through delegation - either to time or to other people.
