It takes only about 10 to 12 minutes for you to plan out your day, but this small investment of time will save you up to two hours (100 to 120 minutes) in wasted time and diffused effort throughout the day.

Your ability to select your most important task at each moment, and then to get started on that task and to get it done both quickly and well, will probably have more of an impact on your success than any other quality or skill you can develop.

If you don't spend quality time with your loved ones or do things that are important in your life, someone or something less important will take up your time.

Leave nothing to chance. Overlook nothing. Combine contradictory observations. Allow yourself enough time.

You end up sacrificing quality time with family and friends, and you end up sacrificing time with yourself. Often you even sacrifice your health.

When I first began spending daily time in prayer, I often grew frustrated at how I could forget about God's presence by lunchtime, even after praying for an hour in the morning. Shorter but more frequent times of prayer may actually help us to live with an increasing awareness of God's presence in our lives. How difficult would it be for us to set aside five minutes in the morning, five minutes at noon, and five minutes before or after dinnertime to meet God in prayer?

To spend time is to pass it in a specified manner. To waste time is to expend it thoughtlessly or carelessly. We all have time to either spend or waste and it is our decision what to do with it. But once passed, it is gone forever.

One of the things I realized is that if you do not take control over your time and your life, other people will gobble it up. If you don't prioritize yourself, you constantly start falling lower and lower on your list, your kids fall lower and lower on your list.

It's much less demanding to think about God's will for your future than it is to ask Him what He wants you to do in the next ten minutes.

Christ can come back at any time so the one thing you want to have in your life is a focused prayer time.

All I can do is today and tomorrow and have some idea of what we're doing next week. That's all I can worry about.

When it comes to sermon writing, generally there are two problems. Some preachers love the research stage but hate the writing, and they start writing too late. Others don't like doing research, so they move way too fast to the writing part.
