Thank you, Lord, I prayed, for turning something bad into something good.

There are many things that happen every day that we could murmur about if we let ourselves go there. But they really aren't worth the effort it takes to get upset and gripe about it.

We should not take the blessings of God for granted. We should always be careful to give God praise and thanksgiving for the work that he does in our lives.

In thinking about His many blessings, you view God's work from a new perspective.

Gratitude is a sacred space where you allow and know that a force greater than your ego is always at work and always available.

Choosing to be happy and saying thank you to whatever circumstances befall you is one of the most radical things you could ever do.

By thirty, I believe we should all focus more on feeling gratitude for the gifts we've been given. The more grateful we feel for our families, for our friends, for the good health we have, the more we will nourish those things for the future.

You may be very sure that if your sincere intent is to glorify God and bless others in your efforts, and you are not motivated by unloving attitudes, you will see the hand of God move with you as you expectantly do your work. Your part is simply to expect it, watch for it, give thanks as you see it, and, on the basis of your experience, encourage others to do the same.

it is good that you are alive: your life is good, it is good that you are who you are, and it is good that you do the work you do.

Indeed, for anyone who has a genuine knowledge of God, praise is the only appropriate attitude in which to live. It is the only sane attitude.

This time of reflection should also include thanksgiving for all the ways the day went well.

Thank you God for everything in my life. The good and the bad. Some were blessings and some were lessons.
