The great news of Christianity is that your biological family of origin does not determine your future.

Salvation is from our side a choice, from the divine side it is a seizing upon, an apprehending, a conquest by the Most High God. Our accepting and willing are reactions rather than actions. The right of determination must always remain with God.

There are no servants in God's family, only sons and daughters, fully adopted through God's gift of grace. Redemption is through faith alone, never by works.

A man may just as soon read the Scripture without eyes, as understand the spirit of it without grace.

Is not a spiritual and devout life here made the common condition on which all men are to become sons of God?

And thus the Work of our Salvation is wholly and solely the Work of the Light and Spirit of God, dwelling and operating in us.

Justification and regeneration are simultaneous. The pardoned sinner becomes a child of God in justification.

What is a Christian? The richest answer I know is that a Christian is one who has God as Father.

There are sons of God who do not yet appear so to us, but now do so to God; and there are those who, on account of some arrogated or temporal grace, are called so by us, but are not so to God.

The idea that all are children of God is not found in the Bible anywhere.

You are God's child. His creation. Destined for heaven. You are a part of his family.
