Today is a brand new beginning for me!

I may not be where I need to be but at least I am not where I used to be.

The more we focus on who we are in Christ, the less it matters who we were in the past, or even what happened to us.

The truth is always revealed through the Word; but sadly, people don't always accept it. It is a painful process to face our faults and deal with them. Generally speaking, people justify misbehavior. They allow their past and how they were raised to negatively affect the rest of their lives. Our past may explain why we're suffering, but we must not use it as an excuse to stay in bondage.

I am not going to let negative people control my mood. They have problems and they are not going to give their problems to me.

The best thing you can do about yesterday is to forget it. Whether you succeeded or failed, it's over. It's time to look ahead.

As long as you think tomorrow is dependent on yesterday, your future will never be different from your past.

Your mind, mouth, moods, and attitudes are all intricately connected. • No matter what you experience, you are responsible for your own life. • A transformed mind leads to transformed moods, attitudes, and behaviors. • Thinking godly thoughts and speaking them each morning is an exercise that can change your entire day.

Pray and ask God to show you a specific area where you need to let go of selfishness. Once He shows you, don't get discouraged or be afraid—trust God to change you!

Prayer of Thanks Father, I am so thankful that I can choose what thoughts to dwell on. With Your help, I can reject negative thinking, and I can focus on thoughts based on Your Word. Thank You that I can be a confident, positive person.

Many people would like a miracle, but like the man in our story, they are not willing to give up their blame and self-pity.

Father, I am asking that you change __________ if they truly need to change. If they don't, then change my heart and let me see my own error in thinking they do. I also ask that you change me in any way I need to change. Amen!
