Because I'm livin' this day as if it were my first and, while it lasts, I will discover things that I didn't even know were there.

Stormy or sunny days, glorious or lonely nights, I maintain an attitude of gratitude.

You are about as happy as you make up your mind to be.

Receive every day as a resurrection from death, as a new enjoyment of life.

Eating cherries on a hot July afternoon in Michigan is one of the greatest things that can happen to anybody, and here it is right now - three minutes after three - happening to ME, and to you.

Do not let us speak of darker days; let us speak rather of sterner days. These are not dark days: these are great days-- the greatest days our country has ever lived; and we must all thank God that we have been allowed, each of us according to our stations, to play a part in making these days memorable in the history of our race.

Every day is important for us because it is a day ordained by God. If we are bored with life there is something wrong with our concept of God and His involvement in our daily lives. Even the most dull and tedious days of our lives are ordained by God and ought to be used by us to glorify Him.

Let us come alive to the splendor that is all around us and see the beauty in ordinary things.
