Pessimism is an excuse for not trying and a guarantee to a personal failure.

Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces people into thinking they can't lose.

Whatever your quitting point, I challenge you to test God's truth and faithfulness by saying, "God, I'm going to proceed, trusting you to empower me to crash through this quitting point and come out in one piece on the other side.

He arms us with purpose by giving us a promise instead of the answer. That way, we are forced to learn how to believe Him before the answer comes and then learn how to exercise His will in the circumstances that are contrary to the given promise. This is part of what it means to be a co-laborer with Christ. He labors, and we labor with Him.

I could not limit my values and pursuits to what makes others comfortable. Being possessed by a promise I live without options. I will spend the rest of my life exploring what could happen through the life of one who is willing to cultivate the God-given appetite to see impossibilities bow to the name of Jesus.

The fear of making mistakes and not doing a particular ministry well has paralyzed many believers, and that is a tragedy. They fail to see that perfectionism is religion (form without power). Excellence is Kingdom. Saying yes to the King is the first step in discipleship. And being driven by love makes it impossible to remain stationary.

Faith doesn't deny a problem's existence. It denies a problem a place of influence.

Because of the Holy Spirit living inside of me, I am able to do the very works that Jesus did. His experience is an example for what I should expect from my Christian life. Thank You, Lord, that I can do all things because of Your Presence living within me!

Something is always expected from us when God is revealed to be with us. It is a grave mistake to think the Holy Spirit is among us simply to comfort or encourage. That is a given. He is also present to make possible the impossible task in front of us! Perhaps this is part of what the apostle Paul

To say that we have the power to heal someone is inaccurate, but to say that we do not have the power to heal someone is equally inaccurate. We cannot heal anyone, but Christ in us can. We cannot set anyone free, but Christ in us can. We cannot save anyone from his or her sins, but Christ in us can.

The truth is that all of Christ's commands are impossible to fulfill apart from His grace and supernatural power through the Holy Spirit. Our heart to obey whatever He says puts us in the place of living from the promise, "All things are possible to him who believes."(See Mark 9:23.) Our faith gives us access to all the resources of Heaven. This is why Christ commissioned us to do the impossible!

Grace is "God's empowerment to do what we are called to do.
