Our problem is that we always want to hold on to the past and still go into the future. That is what is meant by having a double heart. In James 1:8 we read that a person who is of two minds is hesitating, dubious, irresolute, unstable, unreliable and uncertain about everything he thinks, feels or decides. The King James Version says, A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

don't have to give in to those things that would keep you from the life God has for you—you may have in your past, but you don't have to in your future. You can begin again! Jesus is sending away your accusers and offering you a new chance today. Today can be a brand-new start.

Knowing who we are in Christ sets us free from the need to impress others. As long as we know who we are, we don't have to be overly concerned about what others think of us. Once we know who we are and accept ourselves, we no longer have anything to prove. When we have nothing to prove we can relax and be at ease in every situation.

A lot of people let the past dictate their future. Don't do that! Get past your past. We all have a past, but we all have a future. The Bible teaches us in Ephesians 2:10 that we are recreated in Christ Jesus so we might do the good works He planned beforehand for us and live the good life He prearranged and made ready for us.

Make up your mind to live differently; praise your way to victory; give God the construction project; and understand that your history is not your destiny.

Whatever may be troubling you, shake it off! God has great things planned for you. The dreams of the future leave no room for the snakebites of the past.

I will give them one heart [a new heart] and I will put a new spirit within them; and I will take the stony [unnaturally hardened] heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh [sensitive and responsive to the touch of their God]… EZEKIEL 11:19

As you walk with God, you can always begin again. It is never too late for a fresh start. Your history does not have to be your destiny! Believe

acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Romans 12:2

I am not where I need to be, but thank God I am not where I used to be.

For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21

I'm not where I need to be, but Thank God I'm not where I use to be. I'm okay and I'm on my way!
