A romance with Christ differs so dramatically from a romance between mortals.

We can believe in Christ, accepting the truth that He is the Son of God, and we can believe on Christ, receiving eternal salvation, yet fail to stand firm in belief and choose to find Him trustworthy day to day.

Physical existence is not what Christ died to bring us. He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.

I hope you'll make the discovery that he did so long ago—the discovery that affection counts for more than ambition. That loving and being loved by Jesus matters more than all that the world can obtain or contain.

I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live. John 11:25

Jesus is not a superhuman. He is God. The beloved, divine Son of Him who occupies the throne of all creation.

Part of the exquisite beauty of salvation is its simplicity. Any man, woman, or child can come to Christ with absolutely nothing to offer Him but simple faith—just as they are. Salvation requires nothing more than childlike faith—believing that Jesus Christ died for my sins and accepting His gift of salvation.

God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. . . . If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. (1 John 4:10—15)

We who have accepted Christ as Savior are part of the most wonderful covenant God ever made with man. God loves us for a singular reason—because He chooses to.

Keep yourselves in the love of God, expecting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life. Jude 21
