God have mercy on a sinner like me and enable me to know and believe in Jesus Christ. For I understand that if the righteousness of Christ was not available or if I didn't have faith in that righteousness, then I would be utterly rejected from your presence. Lord, I've heard that you're a merciful God and have ordained that your Son, Jesus Christ, should be the Savior of the world.

Jesus has given me rest by means of His sorrow and life by means of His death!

O! what did I now see in that blessed sixth of John: And him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out.  John vi. 37.  Now I began to consider with myself, that God hath a bigger mouth to speak with, than I had a heart to conceive with; I thought also with myself, that He spake not His words in haste, or in an unadvised heat, but with infinite wisdom and judgment, and in very truth and faithfulness.  2 Sam. iii. 28.

I looked then, and saw a man named Evangelist coming to him and asked, Wherefore dost thou cry? [Job 33:23] {14} He answered, Sir, I perceive by the book in my hand, that I am condemned to die, and after that to come to judgement [Heb. 9:27]; and I find that I am not willing to do the first [Job 16:21], nor able to do the second. [Ezek. 22:14]

There is an endless kingdom to be enjoyed, and everlasting life to be given us, that we may live in that kingdom forever.

James: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Prudence: Good boy again. But how does God the Father save you? James: By his grace. Prudence: How does God the Son save you?

Time was with most of us, when Christmas Day, encircling all our limited world like a magic ring, left nothing out for us to miss or seek; bound together all our home enjoyments, affections, and hopes; grouped everything and everyone round the Christ

Christianity supplies a Hell for the people who disagree with you and a Heaven for your friends.

Good news from heaven the angels bring, Glad tidings to the earth they sing: To us this day a child is given, To crown us with the joy of heaven.
