Who at the present time thinks of Easter as intended and adapted to fill the soul with a new jubilant assurance of the forgiveness of sin as the guarantee of the inheritance of eternal life?

Christianity, if false, is not important. If Christianity is true, however, it is of infinite importance. What it cannot be is moderately important.

The Creator and Lord of all so loved the world, that He sent His Son for its salvation, the Prince and Savior of the faithful, who washed and dried our wounds, and from Him also came that most sweet medicine, from which all the good things of salvation flow.

One unquestioned text we read, All doubt beyond, all fear above; Nor crackling pile nor cursing creed Can burn or blot it: God is Love.

Well, I think the main message is there is more to your story. There is more than what happens between the crib and the grave, and that is what I am really trying to speak to, this idea that all of life is this life and that there is nothing more than what we see and experience right here on this earth.

Christmas is an invitation by God to say: Look what I've done to come near to you. Now draw near to me...I want to be a friend.

The resurrection gives you a sense of what God wants to do for the whole world.

We love, simply because we're loved. God's love comes first, and ours is just a response. We didn't trigger it - He did.

don't judge God based on your understanding of people. God isn't just a really good guy up in the sky. He is God. He operates on an entirely different set of rules. We'll never deserve His love, but He knows that, and He's chosen to love us anyway. We can accept it or not. But that doesn't change who He is. He's a God who loves us more than we can imagine and desires to fulfill the dreams He gives His children.

The Cross is the approbation of our existence, not in words, but in an act so completely radical that it caused God to become flesh and pierced this flesh to the quick; that, to God, it was worth the death of his incarnate Son.

There are many paths to God," some say, "so no particular belief is 'right' or 'wrong,' as long as you sincerely seek Him." And that, according to Scripture, is sincerely wrong! Sincerely place your trust in any means, or any person, other than Jesus Christ who shed His blood for our sins, and God will not receive you . . . sincerely (see John 14:6 and Acts 4:12). If

Dear God, I know that my sin has put a barrier between You and me. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to suffer the penalty of my sin by dying in my place so that barrier would be removed. I trust in Jesus alone for the forgiveness of my sins.
