Women still dream and hope, pin their emotions on some man who doesn't reciprocate, and end up in confusion.

And so it often is. Faith, prayer, and obedience are our requirements. We are not offered in exchange immunity and exemption from the world's woes. What we are offered has to do with another world altogether.

I don't pray when I'm in the mood anymore then I wash dishes when I'm in the mood. Pray 'til you feel like praying.

When stormy winds against us break stablish and reinforce our will; O hear us for Thine own Name's sake, hold us in strength, and hold us still. Still as the faithful mountains stand, through the long, silent years of stress; so would we wait at Thy right hand in quietness and steadfastness.

Pray when you feel like praying. Pray when you don't feel like praying. Pray until you feel like praying.

I want to be free of self-pity. It is a tool of Satan to rot away a life.

Trust holds fast, standing firm until deliverance arrives or a solution is found.

Count it all joy…when you fall into various trials (JAMES 1:2).

He encourages us to decide to have a joyful attitude. James' first rule for joyful living in unjoyful circumstances is to "count it all joy.

We can do more than pray, after we have prayed, but not until.

The moment an ill can be patiently handled, it is disarmed of its poison, though not of its pain.
