When you are in the center of God's will, my friend, it flows.

As Os Guinness writes, To be sure, calling is not what it is commonly thought to be. It has to be dug out from under the rubble of ignorance and confusion. And, uncomfortably, it often flies in the face of our human inclinations. But nothing short of God's call can ground and fulfill the truest human desire for purpose.

Vision is the ability to see God's presence, to perceive God's power, to focus on God's plan in spite of the obstacles.

Humans struggle with the underside of the tapestry, unable to see the beauty in their situation, for they cannot know how the trouble of life fits with The Plan.

Don't quit. Don't give up. God can take the broken pieces and make them beautiful again. It's what he does best.

What if he is the one who brought her to me?

God puts every one of us here for a purpose. There's some pull on our lives that draws us toward that purpose, and the farther we go away from it, the more unhappy we are. The closer we get, the more we yearn and desire it.

Nobody knows that but you and God. And you don't even know the half of it. You see, he looks at our lives as a whole, not just today, tomorrow, yesterday, and next week. Not even this year and next. He's not counting your failures and your mistakes and keeping a running tab like heaven's waiter. He sees the end just as well as the beginning. He knows about the pit you're in right now.

You cannot plan for love. You cannot choose against it once it has come.

Now, in some cosmic act of God or coincidence, the girl had returned to me. Who was I kidding? There is no coincidence. There is punishment, retribution. Or perhaps love and mercy and grace. Which was it?

I see some people stay in one place because it's convenient or it's comfortable. But they're missing out on their passion.
