The will of God prevails. In great contests each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, and one must be, wrong.

Nothing in this world is impossible to a willing heart.

So true it is that man proposes and God disposes.

I claim not to have controlled events, but confess plainly that events have controlled me.

Journeys are the midwives of thought. Few places are more conducive to internal conversations than a moving plane, ship or train.

But reassurance can be the cruelest antidote to anxiety. Our rosy predictions both leave the anxious unprepared for the worst.
