People are buying only one thing from you: the way the engagement (hiring you, working with you, dating you, using your product or service, learning from you) makes them feel.

Dating is a place to practice how to relate to other people.

no one offers the name of a philosopher when I ask the question, "Who helped you most?" Most often they answer by describing a quiet, unassuming person. A grace-full Christian is one who looks at the world through "grace-tinted lenses.

The healthiest body is the one that feels the pain of its weakest parts.

It takes no grace to relate to someone who looks, thinks, and acts just like me.

The issue is not whether I agree with someone but rather how I treat someone with whom I profoundly disagree.

H. L. Mencken described a Puritan as a person with a haunting fear that someone, somewhere is happy; today, many people would apply the same caricature to evangelicals or fundamentalists.

God, help me to see others not as my enemies or as ungodly but rather as thirsty people. And give me the courage and compassion to offer your Living Water, which alone quenches deep thirst.
