We are together with the British and Americans because one should fight terror. But we are not going to pay the price for it by endangering Israel and its citizens.

If there will be a serious Palestinian prime minister who makes a 100 percent effort to end terrorism, then we can have peace. Each side has to take steps. If terror continues, there will not be an independent Palestinian state. Israel will not accept it, if terror continues.

Terrorism, as a whole, is - I don't want to say 'taboo,' but it is a very emotional subject.

When people feel like fighting, they are pretty good at coming

I don't have a hostile disposition toward humankind per se. In fact, I feel quite warmly toward humankind. It's individual humans I have trouble with.

The news always sound crazy. People fussing and fighting and pointing fingers at other people, and never even looking for no peace.

People who think nonviolence is easy don't realize that it's a spiritual discipline that requires a great deal of strength, growth, and purging of the self so that one can overcome almost any obstacle for the good of all without being concerned about one's own welfare.

You don't have to respond to every critic. You don't have to prove yourself to them. Just stay on the high road and let God fight your battles for you. Some who will cross your path simply don't want peace with you. No matter what you say or do, they will not be won over. Even if you were to change, they would still find some reason to be critical. You have to accept the fact that no matter what you do, some people will never be at peace with you.

Destroy your enemy by making him your friend.

If you want to be a voice for peace in the world, begin by making peace a permanent condition of your own life.

You can't hate people and engage them with the gospel at the same time. You can't war with people and show the love of Jesus. You can't be both outraged and on mission.
