Scripture alone is the true lord and master of all writings and doctrine on earth.

And if what they claim were true, why have Holy Scripture at all? Of what use is Scripture?

May the Lord, whose cause this is, enlighten you and make you a vessel to honour and glory. Amen.

I only ask in all kindness that the man who wishes at this time to have my books will by no means let them be a hindrance to his own study of the Scriptures, but read them as I read the orders and the ordures of the pope[5] and the books of the sophists.

Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence.
