Hate is too big of burden to bear. I have decided to love.

May I say just a word to those of you who are struggling against this evil. Always be sure that you struggle with Christian methods and Christian weapons. Never succumb to the temptation of becoming bitter. As you press on for justice, be sure to move with dignity and discipline, using only the weapon of love. Let no man pull you so low as to hate him

We must either learn to live together as brothers, or we are going to die together as fools.

Through our scientific and technological genius we've made of this world a neighborhood. And now through our moral and ethical commitment we must make of it a brotherhood. We must all learn to live together as brothers—or we will all perish together as fools.

I've seen too much hate to want to hate, myself.

Love is somehow the key that unlocks the door which leads to ultimate reality.

We cannot long survive spiritually separated in a world that is geographically together.

Man-made laws assure justice, but a higher law produces love. No code of conduct ever persuaded a father to love his children or a husband to show affection to his wife.

Let us be dissatisfied until that day when nobody will shout White Power! — when nobody will shout Black Power! — but everybody will talk about God's power and human power.
