My first message is clear. Enjoy the challenges of each match.

Life wasn't good, but I could not walk away from something I love. I had a difficult life to face, but I had to try to keep dealing with the situation with the help of my family, friends, and training partners and manager.

We make choices to trust God, to wait on God, to obey God, to stick with God, to remain faithful when everything in us wants to quit and run.

Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.

Some day, in years to come, you will be wrestling with the great temptation, or trembling under the great sorrow of your life. But the real struggle is here, now... Now it is being decided whether, in the day of your supreme sorrow or temptation, you shall miserably fail or gloriously conquer. Character cannot be made except by a steady, long-continued process.

Being strong, showing that you will see things through no matter what comes your way, that's what matters most to me.

Be patient. Don't give up. This life's not over yet. It will get better. One day you will enjoy the most perfect final exit.

We say, then, to anyone who is under trial, give Him time to steep the soul in His eternal truth. No one who strives with full faith and heart for the blessings of eternal life will be denied. And how great will be the joy and how much deeper the appreciation then after enduring in patience and faith now.

It's great to see my hard work paying off, even if it's not finished.

We have numerous examples of perseverance in the scriptures, in secular history, and in our own experiences.

The Bible is replete with commands to persevere, especially in the face of injustice.
