We must not pay attention just to reading and studying; rather, we should ask if we are open before the Lord. If we do not have an unveiled face, the glory of the Lord will not shine on us. If our heart is not open to God, God cannot give us any light.

David hit a point in his life when he knew that he had to get his mind back on the things of God. Revenge, discouragement, lust, greed—none of the ugly emotions of life were going to get him through his trials. Only God could do that. So that's where he needed to refocus his mind and life.

Dear friends, our God continues to wrap us in His grace that we may perform our vows and keep our hearts pure and passionate in complete humility and service for now and evermore.

The spiritual disciplines are wisdom, not righteousness. But they are wise practices that train and transform our hearts.

When revival comes to the human heart, it's a torrent, it's a cascade, it's a deluge. It's a downpour!

God can and will wipe all that shame and sadness away if you will only repent.
