Faith is not to be contrasted with knowledge: faith (at least in paradigmatic instances) is knowledge, knowledge of a certain special kind.

The sensus divinitatis is a belief-producing faculty (or power, or mechanism) that under the right conditions produces belief that isn't evidentially based on other beliefs.

Creative life should be more than preaching to the converted, more than going for a core audience of 100,000 people. It should be taking risks, challenging the readership and having enough faith in one's own talent and craft to take readers on that ride.

Life is not a sprint. It was never meant to be. It is just one step of faith after another.

In the end, it is not by knowledge that we make our journeys but by hope and faith: hope that our walk will be worthy of our steps and faith that we are going somewhere. And only when we come to the end of our journeys do we truly understand that every step of the way we were walking on water.

Belief and knowledge aren't the same thing. Belief is much more powerful.

What may appear as audacity God views as authenticity.

The way of Jesus is a journey, not a destination.

the one about Abraham leaving, is revolutionary. It's a step forward in human consciousness. You can step out of the cycle? You can leave? And head into the unknown? You can step into something that hasn't happened yet, that doesn't exist yet?

We spend so much time searching and longing for solid ground, only to discover it's better than that. There's Spirit. You try this, you try that. You throw yourself into it, and you hold it loosely. You give it everything you have as you acknowledge that this is what we're doing now, who knows what will come next?

The heart of everything is faith. Without it, life has no meaning. With it, everything is ennobled.
