God is the God of "right now." He doesn't want you sitting around regretting yesterday. Nor does He want you wringing your hands and worrying about the future. He wants you focusing on what He is saying to you and putting in front of you … right now.

Better never than late.

The Lord wants us to follow His righteous life, but yet we have to exist in the 21st century. You can't be going about riding a bicycle and to travel the world... that is not smart.

It is true that the Puritans banned all recreation on Sundays and all games of chance, gambling, bear baiting, horse racing, and bowling in or around taverns at all times. They did so, not because they were opposed to fun, but because they judged these activities to be inherently harmful or immoral.

Five minutes after we die, we'll know exactly how we should have lived. But God has given us His Word so that we don't have to wait to die to find out. And He's given us His Spirit to empower us to live that way now.

I remember the time an older man asked me when I was young, "Do you know what you are doing now?" I thought it was some kind of trick question. "Tell me," I said. "You are building your memories," he replied, "so make them good ones.

We only have one life to give, and we should be careful who and what we give it to.

when we think about vain or useless things, we become frustrated and dissatisfied.

Lord, I hate being lulled into passivity and staying trapped when You are calling me to action. I will take responsibility for my life today and start turning my wishes into reality. Amen.
