Your attitude toward others, work, and your daily life is a reflection of your attitude toward God.

Never underestimate the significance of the little things done out of a large heart of love.

It is a wise thing to be polite; consequently, it is a stupid thing to be rude. To make enemies by unnecessary and willful incivility, is just as insane a proceeding as to set your house on fire. For politeness is like a counter--an avowedly false coin, with which it is foolish to be stingy.

When tempted to be disgusted at the dullness of another, or to be revenged on one who has wronged you, call to remembrance God's infinite patience and longsuffering with yourself.

God bears long with the wicked notwithstanding the multitude of their sin, and shall we desire to be revenged because of a single injury?

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.

To be kind is to respond with sensitivity and human warmth to the hopes and needs of others. Even the briefest touch of kindness can lighten a heavy heart. Kindness can change the lives of people.

Forgiveness is about empowering yourself, rather than empowering your past.

I believe that we were meant to live as social creatures, to reach out and bless each other's lives.

And my Christianity, first and foremost, governed the way that I tried to deal with people.

Sadly, we do a much better job of making people feel guilty than we do of delivering them from the guilt we create. We need to confess this and change our ways.
