God Himself is the rule and mode of virtue. Our faith is measured by divine truth, our hope by the greatness of His power and faithful affection, our charity by His goodness. His truth, power and goodness outreach any measure of reason. We can certainly never believe, trust or love God more than, or even as much as, we should. Extravagance is impossible. Here is no virtuous moderation, no measurable mean; the more extreme our activity, the better we are.

But a dauntless faith believes

The light of faith makes us see what we believe.

Believe the truth of God's Word over the facts of your circumstances.

Our lives are the only meaningful expression of what we believe and in Whom we believe. And the only real wealth, for any of us, lies in our faith.

Faith fills a man with love for the beauty of its truth, with faith in the truth of its beauty

There is faith in every serious doubt, namely, the faith in the truth as such, even if the only truth we can express is our lack of truth.

Because I have confidence in the power of truth, and of the spirit, I have confidence in the future of mankind.

If we do not have a deep foundation of faith and a solid testimony of truth, we may have difficulty withstanding the harsh storms and icy winds of adversity which inevitably come to each of us.

Whether every story that's there [in the Bible] is a historic truth ... Again, I'm not concerned.

Give us that calm certainty of truth, that nearness to Thee, that conviction of the reality of the life to come, which we shall need to bear us through the troubles of this.

A thing may be incredible and still be true; sometimes it is incredible because it is true.
