We can only lose what we have first claimed.

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). "Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul" (Matthew 10:28).

It's in that place that we're reminded that true life comes when we're willing to admit that we've reached the end of ourselves, we've given up, we've let go, we're willing to die to all of our desires to figure it out and be in control. We lose our life, only to find it.

Holding on to anything is like holding on to your breath. You will suffocate. The only way to get anything in the physical universe is by letting go of it. Let go & it will be yours forever.
