Heavenly Father has a picture of you on His dresser. He loves you and will help you. Call upon Him.

When God looks at you, he doesn't see you; he sees the One who surrounds you. That means that failure is not a concern for you. Your victory is secure.

Jesus tends to his people individually. He personally sees to our needs. We all receive Jesus' touch. We experience his care.

You need someone to lift your spirits. You need someone to look you in the face and say, This isn't the end. Don't give up. There is a better place than this. And I'll lead you there.

Focus on giants - you stumble. Focus on God - Giants tumble.

Fear creates a form of spiritual amnesia

Christ-followers contract malaria, bury children & battle addictions & as a result, face fears. Its not the absence of storms that sets us apart. It's whom we discover in the storm; an unstirred Christ.

Fear never wrote a symphony or poem, negotiated a peace treaty, or cured a disease. Fear never pulled a family out of poverty or a country out of bigotry. Fear never saved a marriage or a business. Courage did that. Faith did that. People who refused to consult or cower to their timidities did that. But fear itself? Fear herds us into a prison and slams the doors. Wouldn't it be great to walk out?

Fear may fill our world, but it doesn't have to fill our hearts.

You'll get through this. You fear you won't. We all do. We fear that the depression will never lift, the yelling will never stop, the pain will never leave. Here in the pits, surrounded by steep walls and angry brothers, we wonder, Will this gray sky ever brighten? This load ever lighten? We feel stuck, trapped, locked in. Predestined for failure. Will we ever exit this pit?

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. (Isa. 43:2)

The fear-filled cannot love deeply. Love is risky. They cannot give to the poor. Benevolence has no guarantee of return. The fear-filled cannot dream wildly. What if their dreams sputter and fall from the sky? The worship of safety emasculates greatness. No wonder Jesus wages such a war against fear.
