2017 was probably one of the hardest years of my life. There were a lot of personal struggles. I lost some very important people. I had a best friend and then a grandfather pass away. Through it all, skating became an anchor. I used to think of it as a job. Now it was getting me through and giving me hope.

Transformation is a process, and as life happens there are tons of ups and downs. It's a journey of discovery - there are moments on mountaintops and moments in deep valleys of despair.

Despite their poverty, their tragic pasts, their own sorrows, they stood before her in strength and spoke with a wisdom that defied their circumstances.

I went through six years of battles on health care because I didn't have $100 million worth of advertising saying how it would never work.

Intelligent people should learn from their experiences. With people on the street, the bad experience has beaten them.

When we struggle, as so many do, in grinding poverty, or when our enemies prevail against us, or when sickness is not healed, the enemy of our souls can send his evil message that there is no God or that if He exists He does not care about us.

The struggles don't define you. It's how you handle them that determines who you are.

I wrote 'Option B' because I want other people to know it can get better, and I want to help people make it better.

I like to overcome great challenges.

The evil influence of Satan would destroy any hope we have in overcoming our mistakes. He would have us feel that we are lost and that there is no hope. In contrast, Jesus reaches down to us to lift us up.

There is no such thing as failure. There are only results.

Success is buried on the other side of rejection.
