Angels have no interest in being worshipped themselves. They are totally absorbed with God, and all they would have us do is join them in adoring Him.

God is perfectly holy and without sin. And to be in relationship with sin would be in violation of his nature.

The political agency of YHWH comes, in Israelite tradition, to be a stable, orderly cultic presence, but without surrendering any of the force of agency known in the exodus narrative itself. Thus "glory" becomes a cover term that holds together forceful agency and abiding presence

There are no unsacred places; there are only sacred places and desecrated places.

Day and night they never stop saying: "'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,' who was, and is, and is to come." Revelation 4:8, NIV

Preferring the comforting messages of certain attributes of God, our lives have become a trifling with His holiness. We desperately need to regain this view of the highness and the holiness of God. His holiness is the ultimate clarity.

We are only prepared to receive and comprehend the grace of God when we have understood His infinite holiness and our incredible sinfulness.

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee."

God's holiness … puts everything and everyone in their rightful place.

The first step in personal revival is to get God in His rightful place. When God is recognized as being above me, beyond me, highly exalted, over me, and totally separate from me, I am getting in position for a downpour. When I embrace God for who He is and I understand who I am—when I know God's place, I can know my place—then things start to fall into place. That's what God's holiness does for us—it puts everything and everyone in their rightful place.

Revival begins here: with a profound awareness of God's absolute holiness, our absolute sinfulness, and our complete inability to bridge the divide that separates us.

The whole world is charged with the glory of God and I feel fire and music under my feet.
