Every time you feel like doing the wrong thing but choose to do the right thing, you are growing!

Anybody can say 'I do' at the altar; the hard part is saying 'I do' every day thereafter. Anybody can set a life goal; the hard part is going after it every day. Anybody can say no to any addiction for a day, but you have to say it day after day after day.

Every once in a while, I need a no-agenda day with nothing to do, but those aren't the days we're going to celebrate at the end of our lives. We won't even remember those days. What we'll remember are the days when we had everything to do, and with God's help, we did it. We won't remember the things that came easy; we'll remember the things that came hard. We'll remember the miracles on the far side of "long and boring.

if you do the job no one wants, you might eventually get the job everybody wants. But you have to be willing to climb the ladder, starting with the bottom rung.

God can deliver in a day, no doubt. But you've got to back up that deliverance with daily habits that fortify your newfound freedom. If you don't, it'll be short lived. You'll end up right back where you started
