I hope when you are my age, you'll be able to say - as I have been able to say: We lived in freedom. Our lives were a statement, not an apology.

Anxiety can be replaced only by the freedom whose harsh requirements are its cause. Being free requires us to release the brakes that anxiety represents in order to accept and appropriate our proper spiritual fulfillment or perhaps even to recognize, if that is what we in the end believe, that no such prospect is in store.

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, shall be healed, delivered and set free. Be set free, in the name of Jesus Christ!

The Scripture says, "Beloved, now are you the sons of God." You may have a lot coming against you, but you are not a slave, you are a son. Sons think differently than slaves. You may struggle with an addiction, but a son says, "I have a right to be free." There may be obstacles in your path, but a son knows the forces for him are greater than the forces against him.

If you believe the lie that you're a slave, that you've reached your limits, it will keep you from your purpose. You need to rise up and say, "I'm no longer a slave, I'm a son. I'm not a slave to my past. I'm not a slave to the people who hurt me. I'm not a slave to addiction, to poverty, to lack, or to depression. I'm a child of the Most High God.
